DeSantis Just Called For Ilhan Omar’s Deportation

(Congressional Agenda) – Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis has demonstrated many times over that he is not the kind of guy who will mince words, nor will he allow serious offenses by those in political power to just be swept under the rug. He’s the type of conservative who believes in the crazy notion that people, especially those in positions of power, should be held accountable for their actions.

Which is why he’s now calling for Minnesota Democrat Ilhan Omar to be expelled from Congress, stripped of naturalization, and then deported back to her home country following remarks she made to an audience that her number one priority in Congress is to protect the interests of Somalia rather than those of Americans. Yeah, that’s not why the people of your district elected you, Omar.

As per The Western Journal, “Omar — who was born in Somalia and came to the U.S. as a refugee in 1995 — spoke to local Somali leaders at an event in Minneapolis on Saturday night.”

“A translation of her speech shared on social media suggested the member of the ‘squad’ of left-wing representatives placed Somalia’s interests ahead of America’s interests,” the report noted.

“The US government will only do what Somalians in the US tell them to do!” Omar said in her speech, according to the translation. “They will do what we want and nothing else.”

“They must follow our orders, and that is how we will safeguard the interest of Somalia,” she continued.

“The US is a country where one of your daughters (myself) is in Congress to represent your interests,” Omar added. “For as long as I am in the US Congress, Somalia will never be in danger. … the US would not dare to support anyone against Somalia.”

“Sleep in comfort, knowing I am here to protect the interests of Somalia from inside the US system,” the congresswoman remarked.

Omar, who has a well established reputation for spouting off anti-Semitic rhetoric, called on her audience to remember they are “Somali first, Muslim second.” Nowhere in this slop did she ever mention Americans, the very people who elected her to the position she occupies.

“Following the release of the translated video of Omar on the X platform, DeSantis — a former presidential candidate who served in Congress himself — called for her expulsion. In a post on Tuesday, the governor was very direct, saying, ‘Expel from Congress, denaturalize and deport!'” the WJ penned.

DeSantis isn’t the only one who wants to see Omar removed from her seat in the House and sent packing. Rep. Tom Emmer, also of Minnesota, asserted Omar should “resign in disgrace.”

Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene got in on the action saying, “Terrorist sympathizer Ilhan Omar in her own words: Somalian first. Muslim second. She never mentions America.”

Donald Trump Jr., son of former President Donald Trump, also spoke against Omar.

“Listen to it all. It’s not hyperbole when we say our representatives are putting America last.” Donald Trump Jr. commented.

Omar is claiming the meaning of her statement has been lost in translation, publishing a post on X in order to try and recover from the public relations disaster that has resulted from her address, noting the translation of the video was “not only slanted but completely off.”

“I wouldn’t expect more from these propagandists. I pray for them and for their sanity.” she stated.

Nice try.

Given her history, we all know Omar meant every word she spoke in that address. Later on, Omar posted what she referred to as an “accurate and verbatim translation” of the speech.

“The US government will do what we ask it to do,” Omar’s translation went on to say. “We should have this confidence in ourselves as Somalis. We live in this country. We are taxpayers in this country.”

“This country is one where one of your daughters sits in Congress. While I am in Congress, no one will take Somalia’s sea,” she declared.

Not really much of an improvement.

  1. Omar is and always has been anti-American. She does NOT belong in Congress. The fact that the Somalian community elects her , shows us we have a problem with that community. They are NOT embracing the America we know. My parents came here legally , became citizens and melded into the American way of life, while still keeping their traditions. That’s what immigrants are supposed to do, NOT COME HERE AND CHANGE OUR AMERICAN WAY.

      We have the same problem here in the UK. Too many of “the peaceful religion” who think they are the Honourable Members for Gaza instead of the actual constituency they were elected to represent.

  2. People are sleep walking!!! When they came out with the Democrat/Socialist Party, everyone should NOT have put up with it not even for a whole day. That IS NOT who we are. Socialism is a dictatorship and the people are slaves when the government owns you. Ilhan Omar should NOT be in our country. She hates America. Put her on the fastest plane out of here and all her squad friends. There are tons of radicals in Congress who need to be on the plane with her. Ron Desantis is a very good man and he is not afraid to do what is best for all of us.
