(Congressional Agenda) – President-elect Donald Trump is absolutely one of the boldest, humorous leaders our nation has ever seen, a point proven during a meeting he had last week with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. During this little get-together, Trump told Trudeau that if a tariff slapped on his country for failing to address both trade and immigration issues would kill their economy, maybe it should be annexed as the 51st state of the U.S. As you can imagine, this comment was a big gut punch to the weak and woke Canadian leader.
A report from Fox News Digital revealed that Trudeau flew to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida unannounced after the president-elect threatened to implement a massive tariff on Canadian imports. The tariff would be 25 percent and a punishment for both Canada and Mexico not taking proper action to address the flow of illegal aliens and illicit drugs from those nations into our own country.
“Now, new details are beginning to emerge about the meeting between the two men, which Trump called ‘very productive.’ According to two people at the table who heard the discussion, Trump, while cordial and welcoming, was very direct when it came to what he wants from his counterpart to the North. Paraphrasing the discussion, Trump told Trudeau that Canada has failed the U.S. border by allowing large amounts of drugs and people across the border, including illegal immigrants from over 70 different countries,” the piece continued.
Those present at the meeting said Trump got more excited when it came time to chat about the U.S. trade deficit with our neighbors to the north, which he stated was over a hundred billion dollars. He then remarked that if Canada can’t do something about the border problems and the trade deficit, he will hit them with a 25 percent tariff on all Canadian goods starting on the first day of his administration.
“Trudeau told Trump he cannot levy the tariff because it would kill the Canadian economy completely. Trump replied – asking, so your country can’t survive unless it’s ripping off the U.S. to the tune of $100 billion? Trump then suggested to Trudeau that Canada become the 51st state, which caused the prime minister and others to laugh nervously, sources told Fox News. But he continued, telling Trudeau that prime minister is a better title, though he could still be governor of the 51st state,” Fox reported.
“Sources told Fox News someone at the table chimed in and advised Trump that Canada would be a very liberal state, which received even more laughter. Trump suggested that Canada could possibly become two states: a conservative and a liberal one,” the article divulged.

Sources state the wisecrack got some laughs, but also disclosed that Trump wants to see the changes made by the time he takes office on January 20.
