Tucker Carlson ‘Will Not Be Silenced’ As Fox News Declares War On Twitter Show

(Congressional Agenda) – Fox News just keeps making mistake after mistake, not realizing that each and every move they orchestrate against former network host Tucker Carlson, the further down the drain their ratings go. The plummet they’re experiencing right now first began when they unceremoniously booted Carlson from their primetime lineup despite the fact that he brought in three million nightly viewers, likely in a move to appease Dominion Voting Systems as part of the $800 million settlement they reached in the company’s lawsuit against the network.

Carlson, a man who truly believes in the mission he has taken up to try and provide Americans with the truth, no matter where it might lead, is refusing to be silenced by his former employers, creating a new program that he is streaming through Twitter. It’s been a massive success pulling in hundreds of millions of views, much to the chagrin of Fox, who sent the popular pundit a cease and desist order to stop streaming his new show. Technically, Tucker Carlson is still under contract with Fox until January 2025.

However, the problem for Fox is that his contract does not include him streaming his own personal opinions on his own social media accounts. That is protected speech under the First Amendment, which is why, as per a response from Carlson’s attorney, he is not going to stop airing his show, according to Melissa Koenig from the UK’s Daily Mail.

“Carlson’s lawyers, though, have argued any legal action by FOX would be a direct violation of their client’s First Amendment rights, as the newscaster is said to be looking for a way out of a $20million-a-year contract with the company,” Koenig wrote. “And attorney Harmeet Dhillon says Carlson ‘will not be silenced.'”

Dhillon, in a statement delivered to Axios, remarked, “FOX News continues to ignore the interests of its viewers, not to mention its shareholder obligations. Doubling down on the most catastrophic programming decision in the history of the cable news industry, FOX is now demanding that Tucker Carlson be silent until after the 2024 election. Tucker will not be silenced by anyone… He is a singularly important voice on matters of public interest in our country, and will remain so.”

Many fans and followers of both Dhillon and Tucker Carlson have wondered why they have not seen her make an appearance on the network recently, to which she replied that it is due to the fact she is representing the former host.

“I am passionately committed to free speech and a free flow of information necessary for a free society,” Dhillon went on to say. “Until FOX stops trying to silence Tucker, it’s not a place for me. And I feel for my friends working at the network, which has clearly caved into pressure from some quarter to silence.”

“What you are seeing on FOX today is a censored version of the news,” the attorney added. “Keep that in mind as you make your viewing and your commenting choices.”

The legal team representing Tucker Carlson have made the case that it is actually the network who is in breach of contract by canceling his program without any notice, thus it is officially null and void.

The letter contains a line that says, “Pursuant to the terms of the Agreement, Mr. Carlson’s services shall be completely exclusive to Fox.”

The letter then adds that he is “prohibited from rendering services of any type whatsoever, whether ‘over the internet via streaming or similar distribution, or other digital distribution whether now known or hereafter devised.'”

“But before FOX executives threatened legal action, Carlson’s lawyers, themselves, sent a letter to network brass arguing the star newscaster should not be bound by the non-compete clause and threatening legal action against the company,” Koenig said in her report. “It was sent by Freedman, to FOX officials Viet Dinh, the company’s chief legal officer, and Irena Briganti, the head of corporate communications.”

This is absolutely not a good look for Fox News, who risks further alienating its core viewing demographic of conservative-leaning Americans by attacking the man they considered to be the only trusted voice in mainstream media. In fact, they are only helping him to create and establish a platform of his own while dealing critical damage to their own brand.

It’s time for Fox to cut their losses and work on sewing up the wound they caused by firing Tucker Carlson before they bleed out.

  1. Is Tucker making any money from Twitter by posting his videos? If he’s not making any money, it is absolutely a violation of his free speech rights. However, if he’s earning money from them, I can see why it would fall under the “non-compete” clause. That being said, I hope Tucker wins against Fox News and that Fox is found to have breached the contract.

  2. FOX doesn’t seem to understand!tand their own contracts it seems. They can not stop Carlson from posting on Twitter. The Contact states he can not work for or broadcast through another ” Network ” last I looked Twitter we owned by a private Citizen, ( Elon Musk ) the only person that can deny Carlson access to post him own opinions, is Musk, who unlike the previous owners, does believe in the Constitution and Free Speech
