Dems Tell Biden To Seize Control Of Texas National Guard, Greg Abbott’s Response Is Epic

(Congressional Agenda) – Democratic lawmakers are attempting to override Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and his state’s right to defend themselves from a massive invasion of illegal aliens, making calls for President Joe Biden to seize control of the Texas National Guard. Keep in mind this whole situation could have easily been avoided if the president and his administration would have fulfilled their duty to secure the border and enforce immigration law. That’s all it would have taken. Now we’re in the middle of a very tense, serious situation, a stand off so to speak between the federal government and Texas, which is turning into a battle for state’s rights as protected in the 10th Amendment.

According to Fox News, the governor released a rather lengthy statement on Wednesday declaring the federal government has broken the compact between the U.S. and individual states in the Union.

“The Executive Branch of the United States has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws protecting states, including immigration laws on the books right now,” Abbott went on to say. “President Biden has refused to enforce those laws and has even violated them.”

“The result is that he has smashed records for illegal immigration. Despite having been put on notice in a series of letters — one of which was delivered to him by hand — President Biden has ignored Texas’s demand that he perform his constitutional duties,” Abbott continued, as per The Western Journal.

“President Biden has violated his oath to faithfully execute immigration laws enacted by Congress,” Abbot noted. “Instead of prosecuting illegal immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers into federal courts to sue Texas for taking action to secure the border. President Biden has instructed his agencies to ignore federal statutes that mandate the detention of illegal immigrants. The effect is to illegally allow their en masse parole into the United States.”

Fox also reported, “Abbott is fighting multiple legal battles with the Biden administration, which has threatened legal action over Texas’ seizure of Shelby Park near Eagle Pass. Texas has also filed lawsuits against the administration, which cut razor wire set up by the state on the Rio Grande to prevent migrants from illegally crossing into Texas, as well as the establishment of buoys on the river.”

Democratic Rep. Greg Casar of Texas is not at all pleased with the actions being taken by the governor, leveling accusations against him of utilizing strategies first cooked up by former President Donald Trump. Gee, he says that like it’s a bad thing. Keep in mind, Trump, who served four years as our commander-in-chief, is currently killing it in the GOP primary, pulling in record-setting victories in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Obviously, the strategies he used during his administration weren’t terrible.

“Greg Abbott has continued to use political stunts and inflammatory language to advance his own agenda, violating the Constitution and endangering both U.S. citizens and asylum seekers,” Casar said in a post published on X. “Abbott is following the Donald Trump playbook: making immigration harder and more dangerous, so asylum seekers are pushed into the hands of cartels and the system remains broken.”

And Casar wasn’t done there. He published a series of posts stating his agreement with fellow Democrat Rep. Joaquin Castro, also of Texas, who posted on social media Tuesday that Biden needs to take control of the Texas National Guard.

“Governor Greg Abbott is using the Texas National Guard to obstruct and create chaos at the border,” Castro penned on X. “If Abbott is defying yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling, @POTUS needs to establish sole federal control of the Texas National Guard now.”

“The Supreme Court this week found in the administration’s favor when it granted an emergency appeal to allow agents to keep cutting border wire set up by Texas along the border. The state answered by publishing images of it strengthening physical barriers along Eagle Pass,” Fox News reported.

The Biden administration has filed a lawsuit against the state of Texas concerning a piece of legislation that allows the state and local officials to arrest illegal aliens. In other words, the federal government is ticked off that law enforcement officials are allowed to arrest people for breaking the law. If you don’t think there’s a political motivation behind the inaction of the current administration to stop the influx of illegals invading the U.S., you have your head buried in the sand.

The administration is accusing the Lone Star State of getting in the way of federal control over immigration and border security and claimed by doing so they are putting the lives of agents and illegal aliens in danger. Well, you know, there wouldn’t be a problem if the government was actually fulfilling its duties.

Wacky former Texas Democrat congressman Beto O’Rourke also shared his thoughts on the current situation, calling the governor out for “using the Texas Guard to defy a Supreme Court ruling.”

“When Gov. Orval Eugene Faubus did this in 1957, [President] Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas Guard to ensure compliance with the law,” O’Rourke remarked. “Biden must follow this example of bold, decisive leadership to end this crisis before it gets worse.”

While the left is on a crusade against Abbott, there are quite a few Republicans who are coming to his defense, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis who clarified that his state will be continuing to assist Texas.

“If the Constitution really made states powerless to defend themselves against an invasion, it wouldn’t have been ratified in the first place and Texas would have never joined the union when it did,” DeSantis asserted in a post on X. “TX is upholding the law while Biden is flouting it. FL will keep assisting…”

Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, a Republican, shared a video on X of the Texas National Guard marching, with a caption that reads, “Oklahoma stands with Texas.”

“Abbott made many arguments in his statement on Wednesday, which are unlikely to dissuade the administration, which has cited Supreme Court precedent for federal control over the immigration and border authority,” Fox continued. “The administration also claims it is following immigration law, while pointing to numbers of removals since May that outpace all of FY 2019.”

The administration has stated that it needs more money from Congress and comprehensive immigration reform in order to correct what it referred to as a “broken” immigration system.

  1. The ruling by SCOTUS was concerning public land, not privately owned land. The land where barbed wire is set up happens to be privately owned land in Texas, vast as it is.

    The Biden Administration has violated the compact with the State of Texas. The Governor is absolutely within his rights and, more importantly, has an affirmative duty to protect the sovereignty and territorial sanctity of Texas.

    On this alone, Biden should be impeached, not to mention his other High Crimes & Misdemeanors, a canned phrase referring to a violation of the public trust reposited in someone of his position as Public Servant No. 1. It does not refer to two elements, but a betrayal of a public duty as entrusted in one of a high position, rather than a “high crime,” whatever that separately may mean, and “misdemeanors,” a separate, modern crime which had not existed at the time the Impeachment Clause came into being.

    What we are dealing with is a great betrayal and let-down as committed by one in whom the public has placed its trust, along with the attendant responsibilities. It is Biden—-the Biden Gand which needs to be impeached forthwith, for failing to protect the individual states as required by the Constitution.

    The ruling by SCOTUS is more nuanced and must be understood in the proper, limited “legal” context. The Biden Gang and the Democrats quoted above are simply obfuscating the truth and conflating what is going on.

    Those who uphold the United States Constitution, who I hope is everyone, must stand with Texas. The Biden Gang has seen its last days and will be shown the way out. They, undoubtedly, will foment civil war and somehow hope to thwart the November 2024 election. We have reason to believe that the White Hats have seen to dealing with it already.

    Stay vigilant and at the ready. We are in the middle of civil war, as it were.
