(Congressional Agenda) – Just a couple days before heading into the first presidential debate in Atlanta, former President Donald Trump got some great news. Which no doubt made President Joe Biden pucker his face into that sour old man mug he often gives. I happen to find this very satisfying by the way. Nothing like ruining a liberal’s day, am I right?
Joe Saunders, a contributor with The Western Journal, wrote this week that a poll published by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution revealed Trump has a solid 5 point lead over Biden in Georgia. That’s impressive given the fact there is a lawfare effort in that very state against Trump, accusing him and several others of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
You’d think that would mean a lot of people in the Peach state are against Trump, but it turns out it’s exactly the opposite. Folks really are getting sick of leftism and the failed policies enacted by this administration that have left their bank accounts devastated and their individual liberties eroded away.
“Besides being the state capital, Atlanta is the county seat of Fulton County, the domain of District Attorney Fani Willis and one of the major fronts in Democrats’ ongoing lawfare campaign against Trump. As the backdrop of Willis’ national headline-generating efforts to prosecute Trump and other defendants on supposedly corrupt efforts to influence the outcome of the 2020 election, the battleground state of Georgia might be expected to be hostile territory for Trump,” Saunders said in the article.
“But the AJC found that Trump leads Biden 43 percent to 38 percent among likely voters — outside the poll’s margin of error of 3.1 percent. Independent contender Robert F. Kenney Jr. — who is not being allowed to participate in Thursday’s faceoff — had 9 percent, the AJC reported,” Saunders continued.
This is absolutely awesome news for Trump and all of those who support his presidential campaign.
It’s truly mind-blowing to see the former president manage to take the lead in the race and nab momentum in a state he previously “lost” to Biden. Granted, he only lost by 11,000 votes, but still, the point stands.
This also means that the efforts of prosecutors in the case against him are failing to have the impact they were hoping for. Most of those involved in the lawfare against Trump know that he’s probably not going to face serious penalties if found guilty. And many of these charges against him are flimsy, likely just made up.
So why go through all of this trouble?
To try and make Trump look bad in front of voters and dissuade them from casting a ballot for him. It seems their strategy is having the opposite effect.
“Few candidates are popular enough to have a grand jury indictment hanging over their heads and still remain credible, but that’s exactly what Trump is doing in Georgia, according to the poll,” the report noted.
“That’s momentum Trump can carry into the Atlanta studios of CNN, the network hosting the debate. (Considering the antagonistic relationship between Trump, the network as a whole and its two debate moderators in particular — Jake Tapper and Dana Bash — it’s momentum he might need,)” Saunders penned.
“It also isn’t helping Democrats that Willis’ case has been put on hold, pending an appeals court review of a prosecution tainted by tawdry tales of an illicit lover affair that bilked Fulton County taxpayers at the same time as it targeted Trump. (It’s a good bet that’s a turnoff to Georgia voters,)” he added.
Now, this is only one poll, so we should keep our excitement contained within reason.
However, Trump has been doing fairly well in quite a few polls, making it clear the tactics they have employed against the former president are failing to produce their intended results.

May all the demos, liberals, fake media hacks take this woke garbage & just move elsewhere.
Don’t ask for another debate, just let the debate be with the mines of the people after that awful debate Biden had.
