AG Garland Slammed For ‘Threatening Americans’ Over Biden DOJ Criticism: ‘This Must Stop’

(Congressional Agenda) – Attorney General Merrick Garland must be feeling very jealous of President Joe Biden’s current status as one of America’s most hated government officials, which explains why he decided to throw his own hat into the ring and try his hand at a shot for the not-so-coveted title. Garland, who has spent the last three years as the head honcho of what was formerly known as the “justice system,” opted to head over to the nation’s largest newspapers in order to send a message to the American people. This was an obvious attempt to gaslight us into believing that what we’ve been witnessing with our own eyes wasn’t actually happening.

And his comments are going over like a lead balloon.

If he’s so desperate to ramp up the hate against himself to levels that rival those of the president, this is definitely the way to do it.

Joe Saunders, contributor for The Western Journal, wrote, “In a commentary published Tuesday by The Washington Post, Garland attacked his fellow citizens who have watched as his Justice Department has given terrorist treatment to parents worried about their kids education and to pro-life groups guilty of believing babies in the womb deserve protection and gone after former President Donald Trump with special prosecutor Jack Smith in a blatant effort to get President Joe Biden re-elected.”

What really staggers the mind here is that Garland actually, with a seemingly straight face, claims that all of this is aboveboard.

“The Justice Department makes decisions about criminal investigations based only on the facts and the law,” Garland went on to write. “We do not investigate people because of their last name, their political affiliation, the size of their bank account, where they come from or what they look like. We investigate and prosecute violations of federal law — nothing more, nothing less.”

The fact that Garland and his minions within the deep state think Americans are stupid enough to believe the lies he’s pushing is highly insulting. The vast majority of us have our eyes open. We know there’s some fishy business going down at the DOJ. The constant attacks against former President Donald Trump and assaults against the liberties of his supporters speaks volumes on that subject.

“This is an administration where the two-tiered system of justice is on display on a daily basis. First son Hunter Biden has been a walking repudiation of law and order for more than a decade, but has gotten kid-gloves treatment by Garland’s department for years,” Saunders said. “His conviction Tuesday of firearms charges doesn’t erase the fact that Garland’s Justice Department had to be forced to take some action against the chronic law-breaker — but only after it offered a sweetheart plea deal that was torpedoed by a federal judge with her eye on the ball.”

It’s almost like Garland is pointing at the guilty verdict for Hunter Biden and attempting to use it as evidence that the DOJ isn’t corrupt after all, seeing as they held him accountable for his actions involving gun law violations. A leather shoe would have been convinced to find Hunter guilty with all of the evidence presented in the case against him. That is no big accomplishment. But Garland wants you to think it is. The whole thing almost looks like an honest exercise of justice, right?

It’s not.

“Threatening Americans that they better stop criticizing the corrupt DOJ should probably take care of the DOJ’s image problem with the American people,” Mollie Hemingway, journalist and editor-in-chief of The Federalist, penned on X.

Many others shared her same view.

Hemingway later pointed out the conclusion of Garland’s piece which carried a threatening, sinister tone.

“Continued unfounded attacks against the Justice Department’s employees are dangerous for people’s safety. They are dangerous for our democracy. This must stop,” Garland stated in the article.

In other words, stop looking too closely at what we’re up to. There’s nothing to see here. Don’t attempt to try and keep us accountable for our actions and preserve your liberties. We have a job to do and it’s none of your business how we do it, regardless of the fact that your tax dollars pay our salaries.

“Clearly disregarding the threat, plenty of responses focused on the use of the word ‘unfounded’ in both the Post headline and in Garland’s conclusion to describe the accusations that his dishonest and politically biased department is dishonest and politically biased,” the report noted.

Again, If Garland is aiming to make people hate him, I’d say “mission accomplished.”

  1. Garland is doing nothing about the widespread attacks on the civil society by rioters, both political and economic, that violate the rights of victims. The Justice Department is not concerned with the rights of citizens, only with its power and position in the administrative state.
