(Congressional Agenda) – Former President Donald Trump proclaimed during an interview with Fox News Digital that he is laying blame for the two assassination attempts squarely on the shoulders of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ “rhetoric.” Trump went on to say that 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, the second would-be assassin, was motivated to take this violent course of action due to the “highly inflammatory language” of Democrats.
It’s hard to argue with his point. Democrats are primarily composed of radical left-wing progressives today. Progressives are essentially reactionaries who are ruled by their emotions. The kind of rhetoric being used by Democratic Party politicians and activists stirs up fear, anger, and paranoia about Trump being a dictator in waiting, a threat to our liberties, and someone who, if he wins another four years in the White House, will take away the rights of certain segments of the United States population. None of this is true, but appealing to emotions is how the left wins elections.
However, when you stir up hatred for a person around the clock for almost a decade, people who are a bit emotionally and psychologically unstable crack and before you know it, you have folks trying to kill a presidential candidate.
“He believed the rhetoric of Biden and Harris, and he acted on it,” Trump explained during an interview with Fox News Digital. “Their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at, when I am the one who is going to save the country, and they are the ones that are destroying the country — both from the inside and out.”
The former president then pointed out that Biden and Harris have made some rather incendiary statements about him being a “threat to democracy,” while pretending they are all about inclusivity and unifying the country. Clearly, that is not even close to being true.
“They are the opposite,” Trump remarked. “These are people that want to destroy our country.”
He also declared, “It is called the enemy from within. They are the real threat.”
The Fox News report noted, “A background check on the name given by officials, Ryan Wesley Routh, revealed that he currently lives in Hawaii and has faced dozens of run-ins with police, stretching back to at least the 1990s. Routh previously echoed Biden and Harris’ anti-Trump comments, that ‘Democracy is on the ballot’ on his social media pages this year, and that Democrats ‘cannot lose.'”
The would-be assassin made a number of posts about politics on his social media accounts and donated money to Democrat candidates and causes.
“They do it with a combination of rhetoric and lawsuits they wrap me up in,” Trump explained. “These are the things that dangerous fools, like the shooter, listen to — that is the rhetoric they listen to, and the same with the first one.”
Meanwhile, Democrats are pointing the finger for it all right back at Trump, accusing him of being the one ratcheting up the intensity of the rhetoric and continuing to call him a “threat to democracy,” citing the Jan. 6 riot as evidence. This past weekend, President Biden suggested that Trump’s comments concerning the Haitian migrant crisis in Springfield, Ohio was an attempt to incite violence.
We need to return to being a country that can have passionate debates about critical topics and issues facing the nation without resorting to violence and hatred of those who see the world through a different lens than we do. Our ideas and beliefs should be duking it out on the battlefield of ideas. This is what used to make America so unique on the global stage. If we don’t go back to doing things this way, we are headed for some kind of civil war, whether that’s literal or on a different level.

I totally agree with Trump. These people do nothing but bash Trump who is a person who truly loves his country and wants the best for the people. Their bad mouthing is getting really sickening and acting like they are greater than thou. Let’s act like mature adults not little children who don’t know better.
I agree with Trump and you cannot debate Democrats because they are gas lighted.
