(Congressional Agenda) – Jamal Simmons, who formerly served as the communications director for Vice President Kamala Harris, shocked a CNN panel over the weekend by making the suggestion that current President Joe Biden should resign from his post in order to allow Harris to become the first female president. I guess this guy doesn’t care about the fact that it would be a rather abysmal way to have the first female commander-in-chief since she’s already been rejected for the job by the American people. Is that really the legacy you want to leave behind in history as the first of anything? I don’t think so.
“Joe Biden’s been a phenomenal president, he’s lived up to so many of the promises he’s made. There’s one promise left that he could fulfill, being a transitional figure,” Simmons went on to say during a segment on CNN’s ‘State of the Union.’ “He could resign the presidency in the next 30 days, make Kamala Harris President of the United States—”
The panel, which also included popular CNN host Dana Bash, reacted to the idea audibly.
Simmons then added, “It would absolve her from having to oversee the January 6th transition of her own defeat. And it would make sure, it would dominate the news, at a point where Democrats have to learn, drama and transparency and doing things the public want to see. This is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate.”
“This has now jumped from an internet meme to a Sunday morning show,” Bash replied. Scott Jennings a more conservative leaning commentator on the very liberal network responded by saying, “Jamal’s out here writing a season of ‘House of Cards.'”

When Bash tried to change the subject by asking Simmons about the chances of Harris being appointed to the Supreme Court, he just reiterated his previous call for her to become the president. Again, why would you want this to be the way you get the first female president? Don’t you want her to be accepted and promoted as a good leader by the American people legitimately electing her to office?
“This is something within Joe Biden‘s control. If he did it, it would, again, fulfill his last promise and give Kamala Harris a chance to be the 47th President of the United States of America. It would disrupt all of Donald Trump‘s paraphernalia, right? He‘d have to rebrand everything. And make it easier for the next woman president not have to hold all that weight of being the first,” Simmons remarked.
Apparently it wasn’t enough to just try and make good television by suggesting something so outlandish. He took to X to promote the idea as well. That means he’s serious about this.
“Joe Biden has been amazing but he should fulfill one last promise – to be transitional. Biden should resign and make Kamala Harris the first woman president. It’d turn tables on Trump, keep Kamala from presiding over Jan 6 make it easier for next woman to run,” Simmons’ post read. “Dems have better policies but we must realize the old rules no longer apply. We are not playing table tennis. We are in a mixed martial arts fight and Americans respond to drama and excitement. We should use that to make our arguments for a better path forward.”

This bit of insanity comes just days after another commentator on CNN made the suggestion that leftists force Justice Sonia Sotomayor to step down from the Supreme Court so Biden can replace her with Harris before Trump takes office, according to Fox News.

Let’s hope old Joe ignores that progressive socialist idea and honorably completes his whole term in office. Can you just imagine the blow back from Biden doing something as stupid as resigning so Harris could become president, especially after being soundly rejected by the citizens of this country in the past election? How much damage do these far left progressive radicals want to inflict on this country?
Harris advisor Jamal Simmons forgot to mention the follow-up assassinations of both Trump and Vance to install Harris and Walz in the White House by default.
