(Congressional Agenda) – Officials within former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign have contacted the European Union, who they promptly told to keep their nose out of U.S. business and stop interfering in this year’s race. And yet the left wants you to believe — still — that Trump somehow colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. Funny how liberals condemn something with their lips while doing that very same thing with their hands. I’m speaking metaphorically of course.
According to the Washington Examiner, this all started with a letter written by the European Commissioner for Internal Market, Thierry Breton, that was addressed to Elon Musk, billionaire owner of X, ahead of an interview he conducted with former President Donald Trump. In the letter, Musk was warned that he could potentially face consequences if he continued to allow “hate speech” and “disinformation” to be posted on the platform unchecked. My question is, who gets to determine what hate speech is? I get a feeling it is individuals hand selected by the “elites” who will twist the definition of words in order to suit an agenda that includes forcing everyone into a sort of brain dead groupthink.
Musk’s interview with Trump took place on Monday on X, though there were some technical issues due to a cyberattack. Clearly, someone did not want the former president’s message to get out.
“The European Union should mind their own business instead of trying to meddle in the U.S. presidential election,” Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung remarked in a post published on X. “Only in Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ America can an un-Democratic foreign organization feel emboldened enough to tell this country what to do. They know that a President Trump victory means America will no longer be ripped off because he will smartly utilize tariffs and renegotiated trade deals that puts America First.”
Cheung then said, “Let us be very clear: the European Union is an enemy of free speech and has no authority of any kind to dictate how we campaign.”

BREAKING.🚨
The European Commissioner is threatening @ElonMusk over his Donald Trump interview tonight.
The EU is interfering with U.S. elections and attacking free speech. This is a serious diplomatic breach and an unacceptable affront to Western values. pic.twitter.com/geWbVU8kaA

The Examiner reported, “Breton reminded Musk he has an obligation to comply with standards set by the Digital Services Act, which addresses the regulation of illegal content and disinformation across social media and other online platforms.”
Breton explained that if X does not take steps to curtail what he believes to be hate speech and disinformation, it could, in his words, “generate detrimental effects on civic discourse and public security.”
“This is important against the background of recent examples of public unrest brought about by the amplification of content that promotes hatred, disorder, incitement to violence, or certain instances of disinformation,” he added.
In recent days the United Kingdom has been torn apart by a rash of lethal violence sparked by the deadly stabbings of three girls by a 17-year-old Muslim immigrant which ultimately led to immigration protests. People in the UK are sick and tired of open borders allowing criminals and radicalized jihadists into their country. Sound familiar? But without the kind of protections for free speech we have here in the United States and the Second Amendment available to help everyday citizens protect themselves, protesters and residents who dare to speak out against the immigration crisis in their country are becoming victims of oppression.
Police in the UK are now so worried about things that people who disagree with or criticize national policy are being threatened with arrest, even if they are from other countries around the world. Apparently, the “Redcoats” have learned absolutely nothing from the last two times they attempted to reach across the pond and force a group of people into compliance.
Musk, true to his nature as a rebel, responded by posting a rather, shall we say, “colorfully” worded meme that expressed his intent of non-compliance.
“In July, the EU charged X for being out of line with the DSA for making the blue checkmark, which indicates an account with ‘verified’ status, to be available to anyone to purchase. The EU also found X at fault for not making its public data available to researchers,” the Washington Examiner concluded.

Let’s hope Musk stands strong and refuses to cave to totalitarian bullies in the UK, keeping Twitter a haven for free speech, which he’s done a marvelous job with thus far.

Maybe the EU should go on the terrorist list. Keep your leftist ideas and dirty money in europe. If we want your opinion…..(you know what comes next).
First, let’s understand that Musk has a ubiquitous media company which is regulated worldwide, including in Europe. They have every right to insure that truth, not Trump stories and lies, is broadcasted. That’s not meddling at all. We know already that Paul Manafort was convicted in court of facilitating Russian meddling in the 2016 election, although Russia is not in the European Union and Europe has ostracized its crooked leader Putin via the Hague and International Courts for invading European Ukraine.
Then they are also protecting Eurozone interests from unwarranted Trump tariffs and wacky trade deals he made in his 2016-21 term. That’s not meddling.
Next, we see rhetoric against the United Kingdom for upholding its interests. Trump no longer has a Putin syncophant for Putin named Boris Johnson to schmooze with, so Republican interests beholden to Trump attacking the new Prime Minister, to do what he says he abhors, but practices–intimidation.
We must all recognize that there are limits to ‘free speech’. Easy to criticize, as Trump says, but denies in practice by threatening the speech of anyone who opposes his words on Musk’s ‘X’. Europe is our biggest supporter via NATO and we should be very slow to oppose European scrutiny of lyin’ and hate-speaking Trump.
