Are You Kidding Me? DOJ ‘Finds’ Transcripts Of Possible Biden Criminality Right After He Drops Out

(Congressional Agenda) – President Joe Biden’s Justice Department, led by Attorney General Merrick Garland, revealed on Monday in a court filing that it does indeed have in its possession transcripts of interviews the commander-in-chief conducted with a biographer after first denying they had the documents. In other words, they lied to the American people and rather than come clean and admit so, they’re claiming they just happened to “find” them. Do they really think we the people are dumb enough to believe this?

That’s a major insult to our intelligence, is it not?

A report from Fox News stated, “While juggling Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests related to former special counsel Robert Hur’s investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents following his departure as vice president in the Obama administration, DOJ attorneys said it would be time-consuming to process audio files into transcripts related to the president’s conversations with biographer Mark Zwonitzer.”

“We don’t have some transcript that’s been created by the special counsel that we can attest to its accuracy,” DOJ lawyer Cameron Silverberg remarked to U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich in June.

All of that changed on Monday evening, when Silverberg spoke with Friedrich in a brand new court filing, saying that Hur’s office actually did have the transcripts of a few of the talks Biden had with Zwonitzer, who worked with Biden to put together his memoirs in both 2007 and 2017.

“In the past few days, in the course of processing the portions of the Biden-Zwonitzer audio recordings that the parties agreed to (see June 25, 2024 Joint Status Report at 2-3, ECF No. 20), the Department located six electronic files, consisting of a total of 117 pages, that appeared to be verbatim transcripts of a small subset of the Biden-Zwonitzer audio recordings created for the SCO by a court-reporting service,” a court filing divulged late Monday evening.

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, filed a FOIA request concerning the Biden-Zwonitzer transcripts.

RedState disclosed that one of the big reasons folks are so concerned about these transcripts is because a major allegation against Biden is that he shared classified information with the biographer. If these documents had been handed over months ago, it could have raised the stakes for Hur’s investigation and the report he issued following its closure.

“It is simply not believable that the DOJ didn’t know about these transcripts until the exact moment it became most politically convenient to acknowledge them. Now that Biden is out of the race, he is no longer in need of protection from AG Merrick Garland and his compromised department. Further, it allows now-presumptive Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris to claim that the administration is ‘transparent’ despite the obvious timing issues at play. The same is true of the sudden reversal by Secret Service head Kimberly Cheatle, who resigned on Tuesday,” RedState noted.

If you remember, Hur found that Biden was basically unfit to face criminal charges for possessing classified documents due to him being a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”

In other words, he’s battling cognitive decline and not fit to stand trial. And now that he’s stepped down from being the Democratic Party presidential nominee for the same reason, one has to wonder why he has not resigned from the presidency? Very strange, right? If he’s not fit to stand trial for criminal actions and is not able to run a presidential reelection campaign, how is he fit to discharge the immense duties of the presidency?

Short answer: He’s not.
